Our Story

Optimist Management began as a small startup in Philadelphia to help businesses thrive through innovative marketing strategies and exceptional customer solutions. Our founder, Abdoulaye Sow, established the company with a deep-rooted belief in the power of optimism. In 2015, Abdoulaye read the book Memoirs of an Eternal Optimist by Thione Niang, which deeply resonated with him. The author, who came to America from Senegal with only $20 in his pocket, built a successful life through sheer determination and unwavering optimism.

Similarly, Abdoulaye believed that the future would be bright despite his challenges. In 2023, he moved to America, not knowing English and speaking only Fulani, French, Wolof, and Soninke. Although it took him seven months to master English, he applied for his first job in Philadelphia once he was comfortable. This management training program became the stepping stone to his entrepreneurial journey. His hard work and dedication led him to grow within the company, becoming a branch manager and starting Optimist Management in Pittsburgh in 2025.

Our early success quickly attracted a growing client base, including Verizon Fios, leading to our expansion into Pittsburgh. Driven by demand from our clients and our continuous growth, we now bring the same dedication and results that made us successful in Philadelphia to our new market. With a focus on professional development through our Management Training Program and Leadership Development initiatives, Optimist Management is committed to empowering our team and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
